If you’re cruising on Liberty of the Seas, breakfast is one of the easiest meals to plan once you know what’s available.
There are several Liberty of the Seas breakfast options, including the Windjammer buffet, the main dining room, Café Promenade, room service and, for qualifying suite guests, a possible suite breakfast in Chops Grille.
Some options are better if you want a full cooked breakfast. Others work better if you want something quick before a port day, a lighter start, or breakfast in your cabin.
This guide explains where to eat breakfast on Liberty of the Seas, what’s included, what costs extra, and which option works best depending on the kind of morning you want.

What Breakfast Is Included on Liberty of the Seas?

Several breakfast options are included on Liberty of the Seas.
The Windjammer buffet is included.
The main dining room breakfast is included.
Café Promenade is included for lighter breakfast snacks.
Continental room service breakfast is included.
Basic drinks such as tea, coffee, water and juice are also available in the Windjammer, and you’ll find help-yourself drinks at Café Promenade as well.
The main extra charge to know about at breakfast is room service if you choose the hot American-style breakfast. Continental breakfast is included, but the hot room service breakfast usually costs extra.
Speciality coffees also cost extra unless they’re covered by your drinks package.
Liberty of the Seas Breakfast Options at a Glance

The easiest breakfast option is the Windjammer. It has the widest choice and usually opens for the longest morning window.
The calmest included breakfast is usually the main dining room, especially if you prefer table service.
The quickest light option is Café Promenade on Deck 5.
The quietest option is continental room service breakfast in your cabin.
If you’re staying in a qualifying suite, there may also be a suite guest breakfast option in Chops Grille on Deck 11.
The best choice depends on whether you want speed, choice, table service or a quieter start.
Windjammer Breakfast on Liberty of the Seas

The Windjammer is the main buffet restaurant on Liberty of the Seas and is where many passengers naturally go for breakfast. It’s located at the aft of Deck 11 and is usually open from around 7:00am until 11:00am for breakfast.
This makes it one of the most flexible breakfast options onboard, especially if you don’t want to be tied to a shorter dining room opening time.
There is usually a lot of choice in the Windjammer at breakfast. You’ll normally find hot items like bacon, sausages, hash browns, pancakes and cooked eggs. There are also breads, toast, bagels, pastries, cereals, fruit, yoghurt and continental-style breakfast items.
One of the most useful parts of the Windjammer breakfast is the omelette and egg station. This is helpful if you want eggs cooked to order rather than just choosing from the items already on the buffet.
Tea, coffee, water and juice are also available in the Windjammer, so you don’t need to go somewhere else for basic morning drinks.
The Windjammer can be busy, especially later in the morning on sea days. But it’s popular for a reason. It’s easy, flexible and gives you the widest breakfast selection.
If you want the biggest choice, the Windjammer is probably the best Liberty of the Seas breakfast option.
Main Dining Room Breakfast on Liberty of the Seas

If you want something calmer than the Windjammer, the main dining room breakfast is worth knowing about. Breakfast is normally served in Rembrandt Dining Room on Deck 3.
On sea days, the main dining room breakfast is usually open from around 8:00am until 9:30am. On port days, it may open earlier, sometimes around 7:00am or 7:30am, depending on the itinerary and the day’s schedule.
You should always check the Royal Caribbean app once onboard because the exact times can change depending on whether you’re at sea or in port.
The main dining room breakfast on Liberty of the Seas works slightly differently because you may have two styles of breakfast available.
You can order à la carte from the menu. That means you sit down, choose what you want, and your food is brought to your table.
There may also be a buffet-style section inside the main dining room. So you still get the calmer dining room setting, but you can also go up and choose some breakfast items yourself.
This makes the main dining room a good middle ground if you like the choice of a buffet but don’t want the busier feel of the Windjammer.
You also don’t have to walk around the main buffet looking for a table with a plate in your hand, which can make breakfast feel more relaxed.
Liberty of the Seas Main Dining Room Brunch

On some sea days, Liberty of the Seas may offer brunch in the main dining room. This is normally also in Rembrandt Dining Room on Deck 3.
Brunch isn’t something to assume will happen every day, so check the Royal Caribbean app once you’re onboard. It can be a useful option if you want a later, more relaxed start and don’t want to go straight to the Windjammer.
I’ve included the main dining room breakfast menu and brunch menu in the downloadable PDF for this article so you can see the kind of options that may be available.
Café Promenade Breakfast on Liberty of the Seas

Café Promenade is on Deck 5 in the Royal Promenade and is open 24 hours a day. This makes it useful if you’re up early, heading off on an excursion, or don’t want a full breakfast.
In the morning, Café Promenade is more of a light grab-and-go option rather than somewhere to get a full cooked breakfast. You’ll usually find things like fruit, pastries and lighter breakfast snacks.
You can also buy speciality coffees here, but there are help-yourself drinks available as well, including tea, coffee and water.
Café Promenade works best if you want something quick before leaving the ship, or if you just don’t feel like a full breakfast. It’s also useful if you wake up before the Windjammer or main dining room breakfast times and want something small.
Room Service Breakfast on Liberty of the Seas

Room service breakfast is another option on Liberty of the Seas. Breakfast room service is usually available from around 6:00am until 11:00am.
You’ll normally find the room service breakfast menu on the desk in your cabin. You fill in what you want, choose your delivery time, and hang the order form on your cabin door the night before.
Continental room service breakfast is included on Liberty of the Seas. This can be a lovely option if you want a quieter start in your cabin, especially if you have a balcony or an early port day. The continental breakfast usually suits people who want something simple rather than a full cooked meal.
If you want the hot American-style breakfast, there is usually a charge of $7.95. That means room service can be included or extra, depending on what you order.
I’ve included both room service breakfast menus in the downloadable PDF so you can compare what’s included and what costs extra.
Suite Breakfast on Liberty of the Seas
If you’re staying in a qualifying suite, there may also be a suite guest breakfast option in Chops Grille on Deck 11. This won’t apply to everyone, and it depends on your cabin category and sailing.
If you’re in a suite, check your onboard information or the Royal Caribbean app to see whether this is available during your cruise.
For most passengers, the main breakfast choices will be the Windjammer, main dining room, Café Promenade and room service.
Liberty of the Seas Breakfast Menus and Downloadable PDF

If you want to look through the breakfast menus before you sail, I’ve added them as a downloadable PDF below.
The PDF includes the Liberty of the Seas main dining room breakfast menu, brunch menu, continental room service breakfast menu and hot American-style room service breakfast menu.
These menus are useful if you want to compare what’s included, what costs extra, and whether you’d prefer the Windjammer, main dining room or room service on different mornings.
Menus and opening times can vary by sailing, so always check the Royal Caribbean app once you’re onboard.
Best Breakfast Option Before a Port Day

If you have an early port day, I’d keep breakfast simple. The Windjammer is usually the easiest option if it’s open early enough for your plans. You can get in, choose what you want, and leave without waiting for table service.
Café Promenade is useful if you only want something light before an excursion. Continental room service breakfast can also work well because you can eat in your cabin while getting ready.
The main dining room is calmer, but it may not be the best option if you’re rushing to get off the ship early. On port days, it may open earlier, but you’ll need to check the exact times in the app.
Best Breakfast Option on a Sea Day

On a sea day, you have more flexibility. If you want the widest choice, go to the Windjammer, but try to avoid the busiest later-morning period.
If you want a more relaxed start, the main dining room is a better option. You can sit down, order from the menu, and enjoy breakfast without the same buffet rush. If brunch is offered, that can also be a good option if you don’t want an early start.
Café Promenade is useful if you just want a pastry, fruit or coffee before doing something else onboard.
Windjammer vs Main Dining Room for Breakfast
The Windjammer and main dining room are both included, but they feel very different.
The Windjammer is better if you want the biggest choice and the most flexibility. It’s also better if you’re eating with people who all want different things.
The main dining room is better if you want a calmer setting and table service. It may not have quite the same wide choice as the Windjammer, but it feels more relaxed and less hectic.
If you’re onboard for several days, it’s worth trying both. Use the Windjammer when you want convenience, and use the main dining room when you want a slower start.
Is Room Service Breakfast Worth It?
Continental room service breakfast can be worth using on Liberty of the Seas, especially if you have a balcony or an early start. It isn’t the best option if you want a big cooked breakfast, because the included version is continental. But if you’re happy with something lighter, it can be one of the nicest ways to start the day.
The hot American-style breakfast costs extra, so I’d only choose that if you really want a cooked breakfast in your cabin. For most people, the included continental breakfast is the better value.
What’s the Best Breakfast on Liberty of the Seas?

The best breakfast on Liberty of the Seas depends on what kind of morning you want. For the widest choice, choose the Windjammer. For the calmest included breakfast, choose the main dining room. For something quick and light, use Café Promenade.
I wouldn’t rely on just one option for the whole cruise. It’s better to use different breakfast venues depending on the day.
